He was drawn to osteopathy following personal experience of being treated by Mark Wilcox during his rugby career. Matthew has a very structural base to his osteopathy, which he believes is a direct result of the mechanisms of the injuries he suffered himself. Matthew was invited to purchase the practice in 2019 as the previous director, Mark Wilcox, planned to retire in the summer of 2020. The ethos of Wakefield Osteopaths and its devotion to providing excellence in a Primary Health Care setting is to be continued. There are plans to upgrade, modernise and grow the practice to enable this.
