JEFF BENMAYOR, CHIROPRACTOR / OWNER I am a Chiropractor and have worked in both Australia and UK for the past 23 years. As a Chiropractor I studied for 5 years, have a Bachelor of Science and a Masters of Chiropractic. In 2016, I completed my certification as a Posture Expert with the American Posture Institute.Our goal is to improve your spinal health and that of the wider community.As a Posture Expert, I am concerned as we are seeing an increase in people with Posture related issues, such as forward head posture (tech neck), hunched back (hyperkyphosis), arched back (lordosis) etc which all have health implications, and these problems are starting at a younger age than ever before. Posture is declining at the speed of technology!Your body is designed to have ideal posture, however age and the use of technology, as well as leading sedentary lives (not moving as much as we should or could) , our bodies are changing and falling into poor posture positions, which cause pain and discomfort, which can lead to other health issues such as neck ache, back ache, shoulder ache etc.This clinic is however not to only focuses on Pain, but also we find the root causes of the problems, get you out of pain, and keep you out of pain.When you have good posture, you feel better, move better & look better. I thrive on helping my patients be able to do the things they were unable to do, before they came to see me. Laura BenMayor Laura is a Civil Engineer and has worked in the Construction Industry for over 22 years, as an Engineer, Health & Safety, Site Manager, Design Manager, Project Manager and Project Planner. Since 2020, Laura has been working with Jeff on The Spine Guy™, and working mostly behind the scenes, learning about social media, filming, editing etc.I am excited to start this new practice. Jeff has always been a healer, wanting to help to heal people. Since I have been working with him on The Spine Guy, and understanding more about Posture and Spinal Health, I am (and always have been) a HUGE advocate of Chiropractic., So much so, that I have given up on my career to help set up and grow The Spine Guy and to help educate the local community…You will see me at the front desk, or helping with posture focussed exercises. I am an exercise fanatic, so please ask away. Jen Leighton - Sports Massage Therapist Jen is a qualified Sports Massage Therapist with over 10 years of experience. She trained at the North London School of Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy (NLSSM), achieving her BTEC Level 5 qualification in 2013, and has since completed a variety of CPD courses focusing on dysfunction and mobility. In 2014, she was invited to assist with tutoring at NLSSM’s Manchester venue, an opportunity that gave her invaluable experience and further enhanced her skills.Alongside her private practice, Jen has worked with professional athletes across Super League, Rugby Union, Football, and Marathon Running, as well as supporting many everyday clients looking to improve their health and movement.Her approach is always tailored to the individual, with the aim of reducing pain, easing tension, and improving long-term mobility.
