Vanessa Robinson, Head Osteopath Vanessa has over 20 years experience in Manual Therapy and specialises in resolving long-term low back problems. She will help you out of pain and restore your strength giving you the confidence to take on new challenges and live the life you've dreamed of. Prior to qualifying as an osteopath Vanessa worked for 9 years as a sports massage therapist and during part of her training she worked with the London Broncos rugby super league team. In addition, she worked privately for a number of VIPs in Central and West London whilst based at Champneys Health Club in Central London. Vanessa relocated to North Yorkshire in 2008 from the South-east, she opened Cathedral Osteopaths in Ripon in December 2013. She has experience working with amateur triathletes, runners, cyclists, strongmen, footballers, dancers, squash and hockey players. Her post-graduate studies since have included courses with the Sutherland Cranial College and Dry Needling (otherwise known as Western Acupuncture). She has a Post-Graduate Certificate in Academic and Clinical Education and worked at Leeds Metropolitan University 2012-2014 as a clinical supervisor on the Integrated Osteopathic Masters Degree. She is a registered Osteopath. Eleanor Schofield Eleanor is a musculoskeletal specialist with a first class degree in sports and exercise therapy from Leeds Beckett University. She has a background in semi professional football and pitchside environments and has experience working with athletes of varying levels of ability. Whatever your injury be it sports, back or post surgical, Eleanor’s knowledge and expertise will help support you on your journey of recovery. Helping you to get stronger with a strong emphasis on prevention. Her passion for her ‘Return to Play’ programmes will get you back to doing the things you love, whether that is playing sport, attending a regular exercise class, returning to work or doing the ironing! My passion for Sports Therapy originated from my own experiences as a semi-professional futsal and football athlete. I understand the frustration of feeling held back by an injury, whether it's affecting your everyday life or preventing you from performing at your best! I work with athletes of varying abilities— from beginners to professionals— as well as individuals who may not consider themselves sporty. Whether it's walking the dog, gardening, or preparing for a marathon, I am committed to getting you back to doing the things you love most! Originally from Watford, I spent seven years in Germany before moving to Leeds, where I studied Sports and Exercise Therapy at Leeds Beckett University and graduated in 2024. Whilst at university, I worked part-time in construction and completed my placement at Cathedral Osteopaths, joining the team just a week after graduation! In my first year here, I qualified as an IDD therapist in July, Shockwave Therapist in November and did my Dry Needling training in January.
