Over the years I have had excellent care, treatment and support. At every appointment I feel listened to, cared for and valued. I get a conversation, physical check and treatment aimed at ME – about ME. I’m given exercises to do at home to help me and Suzanne shows me how to do them and sends me videos. She went on to train at the British School of Osteopathy and graduated in 1998. Her career began in London providing osteopathy on the NHS for a GP surgery and in two private practices, before moving to work in North Yorkshire in 1999. In 2002 she established Bedale Osteopaths with her colleague Stuart Bentley. Suzanne enjoys treating all age groups, and since qualifying has completed several post graduate training courses in cranial and pediatric osteopathy. Over the past 5 years she has developed a deeper interest in chronic pain and has completed several courses in pain science / education and graded motor imagery. She has recently expanded this element of her work further by undertaking training in SIRPA (a stress illness recovery programme) which has been shown to help people who have chronic pain and other conditions such as fibromyalgia. He graduated from the British School of Osteopathy with an honours degree in Osteopathy in 1998 and shortly afterwards moved to North Yorkshire. Stuart helped to establish Bedale Osteopaths working alongside Suzanne since it opened in 2002.Stuart treats a wide range of musculoskeletal problems and has a particular interest in osteoarthritis and sports injuries. He has undergone extra training in the Niel-Asher technique for treating frozen shoulders. Stuart also has training in pilates and rehabilitation and in ergonomics and desk work and is able to offer work station assessments. He has more recently undertaken training in pain and the neuro immune system and the psychology of exercise. Stuart’s work is very hands on and he has a methodical and scientific approach having previously studied a degree in biochemistry and masters degree in organic chemistry. Bio Anna initially trained and worked in the NHS as an occupational therapist. However she became passionate about osteopathy after receiving treatment, and decided to retrain as an osteopath. She graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2012 with a Masters of Osteopathy degree.Anna understands the importance of assessing the whole person and will always take time to listen to your story. She uses a gentle hands on approach and has a particular interest in women’s health and treating mums to be. She has post graduate training in cranial osteopathy, and has completed level two of the Sutherland Cranial Pathway.More recently Anna has developed an interest in the science of persistent or chronic pain . She is now using her osteopathic skills alongside pain education to help people to understand why they are in pain and what they can do to help themselves. In recent years her interest in diet and nutrition has grown and she has now completed the Royal Society of Public Health level 4 award in Nutrition in 2021 , adding a formal nutritional therapist qualification to her practice . Nicola’s previous degrees in pathology and haematology give her a unique insight into both western and eastern medicine. She has developed a particular interest in working with complex or longstanding cases, and likes to keep up to date with current research and developments in acupuncture treatment. Lucy is passionate about helping people reach their potential and improve their function, whether that is in day to day life or in competition. She went on to train at the British School of Osteopathy and graduated in 1998. Her career began in London providing osteopathy on the NHS for a GP surgery and in two private practices, before moving to work in North Yorkshire in 1999. In 2002 she established Bedale Osteopaths with her colleague Stuart Bentley. Suzanne enjoys treating all age groups, and since qualifying has completed several post graduate training courses in cranial and pediatric osteopathy. Over the past 5 years she has developed a deeper interest in chronic pain and has completed several courses in pain science / education and graded motor imagery.
