Vinita has 30 years experience in the assessment and treatment of back, neck and joint problems including arthritis and injuries as well as the management of pre and post-operative orthopaedic patients.I became a Physiotherapist as I felt that a career spent in helping people by easing their pain and increasing movement would be both rewarding and challenging. Over the years I have derived great satisfaction from seeing patients benefit from my treatment and regain improved mobility, function and quality of life. My past clinical roles inlcuded many years as an Extended Scope Practitioner (Senior Physiotherapist) at the St. Andrews Centre in Billericay with an independent clinic for hip, knee, ankle and foot problems. I assessed and investigated a wide array of physical issues with X-Rays, MRI scans and blood tests and also performed cortisone injections in joints and soft tissues. I liaised closely with Consultant Surgeons and Rheumatologists and made appropriate referrals for surgery when required. In July 2015 I moved into the private sector and opened my own practice, First4Therapy, to provide care for local patients I have worked at two internationally renowned Hand Surgery centres and I am a member of the British Association of Hand Therapists. I am able to provide splints and treat patients who have hand injuries, hand and wrist arthritis or have had hand surgery. David B, LaindonAmazing treatment, I have a hand that now functions and back at work 2 months early, highly recommend Vinita. Mary Taplin, Langdon HillsI cannot praise this practice more highly and recommend it without hesitation. Premises, with adequate parking, are easily accessible by road. All appointment times are arranged to suit. Diagnostic procedures and treatments explained in simple language, exemplary, resulting in complete satisfaction. I shall continue to attend sessions as I feel the need or as advised. SylviaI was referred to Vinita by a private consultant following unsuccessful attempts at curing a constant pain in both elbows that I had suffered for a year. Previous diagnoses from other practitioners had been poor and the treatment I had undergone was in the main irrelevant. I first saw Vinita in October 2015 and once I had described my ongoing symptoms she quickly diagnosed a likely problem with my neck and thoracic area that was referring pain to my elbows. I have had 13 of 15 treatments and am now 90% better than i was in October last year. The symptoms in my elbows have largely disappeared and tasks I found difficult due to pain are now normal to perform. Alongside the treatment she provided, Vinita also gave me some self help exercises to do at home which have also assisted my recovery. The physio treatment I received was specialist in that it concentrated on nerves rather than musculoskeletal and I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Vinita for anyone who requires specialist physiotherapy treatment. I. Cook, UpminsterJust wanted to say thanks for all you did. Pilates and exercises going well, also gym workout. Can touch my toes for the first time in years! Wouldn’t be at this stage without your help and encouragement, so again many thanks. F.Mayo, Langdon HillsThought you’d like to know that you were ‘spot-on’ with your diagnosis of my back pain ( MRI enclosed). I owe you in big part my recovery. Thank you for helping me ‘get back on my feet’ Anna. B, LaindonGeneral and Specialised TreatmentA wide range of Conditions TreatedLower Back PainLower Back Pain is an uncomfortable and common issue often resulting from a torn or pulled muscle and/or ligament. This is a very common condition. About 80% of adults experience lower back pain at some point in their lives.Sports InjuriesSports injuries can occur due to accidents, poor training practices or improper gear. Some people get injured when they are not in proper condition. Not warming up or stretching enough can also lead to injuries. Neck Pain (Including Whiplash)Neck pain can occur because of wear and tear of the spinal joints or discs. Sprains of the neck ligaments or muscle injury due to whiplash or sports injury can also cause pain. Hip and Knee PainKnee pain may be felt in front or behind the knee or in the shin. It can be due to various reasons such as meniscus or ligament damage and arthritis. Early and accurate diagnosis leads to quicker pain relief and return to normal activities.Post Operative ConditionsWe help to reduce post-operative pain and improve movement following surgery. Physiotherapy at these times helps patients to regain normal joint range of motion, releases muscle tension and improves muscle efficiency.Sciatica and Nerve PainA release of inflammatory chemicals or restriction in nerve movement can irritate nerves and make them sensitive. Inflamed nerve tissue can cause pain, pins and needles or numbness in the area supplied by the nerve. ArthritisArthritis is a common condition that causes pain and inflammation in a joint. In the U.K around 10 million people suffer from arthritis. The two most common types of arthritis are Osteoarthritis and Rheumatoid arthritisSoft Tissue InjuryInjury to soft tissues ( Muscles, tendons, ligaments ) causes swelling which can cause pain and stiffness. Early management reduces the time required for recovery.Get in touchWe are always looking to help new clients in our Physiotherapy Practice.
