Your first visit. Any first visit to a Chiropractic Clinic can be a little daunting but you can be assured that you will be immediately put at ease with our friendly and welcoming atmosphere.We will ask you to fill in a questionnaire regarding your current problem and any other problems you may have had in the past i.e car accidents.Following the Consultation the Chiropractor will perform a full examination to obtain a Chiropractic Diagnosis of your problem. He will perform a spinal examination to see how much movement you have in your spine and then move on to perform the Orthopeadic/ Neurological examination which will give the Chiropractor a better understanding of your particular problem. After the examination the Chiropractor will fully explain your problem to you. This is usually done with a skeleton/spinal model. He will also be able to give you an idea of how many sessions will be necessary to treat your problem The Chiropractor will then start the treatment. This will include a warm up before the adjustments take place. Chiropractors often use massage/ tens machines to help with relaxing tight muscles before adjusting. Adjustments are done by hand and involve putting a small and specific movement into the joint to improve the movement. These adjustments are well tolerated by patients as the Chiropractor is very skilled in this procedure. Having worked in numerous clinics in the country since graduating he has now decided to return to his home town of Wigan and open his very own practice. He relishes the opportunity to make an impact on health care in the communityAfter studying and attaining a HND in Biological Sciences Dr Farrell was introduced to the Chiropractic Profession and it was truly the profession that he was going to succeed in.From an early age he has always been an enthusiastic sportsman, representing his school and captaining his local football team, Billinge FC. He also had an interest in Martial Arts, particularly Ju Jitsu, and at the age of 11 attained his Black Belt. His current hobbies include golf and weight training and he believes that the latter in particular helps him a great deal in his job. Apart from the enjoyment of keeping fit, he is also a firm believer in the saying Fit in Body, Fit in mind and by staying active helps him achieve optimum fitness and wellness.
