During this time, he gained comprehensive experience across all areas of podiatry while specialising in musculoskeletal (MSK) podiatry. His focus was on biomechanics and treating complex foot and lower limb conditions, setting the foundation for his expertise.Ministry of Defence: DMRC Headley CourtGlen took on a pivotal role at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Headley Court. Here, he provided specialised care to service personnel from all branches of the Armed Forces, including elite units such as the SAS and SBS.His work also extended to national and international-level athletes, helping them recover from injuries and return to peak performance. A significant part of his role involved rehabilitating service members injured in active conflicts abroad. This work was both clinically challenging and immensely rewarding, as it allowed Glen to apply his advanced skills to improve the quality of life for a diverse and complex patient group.Clinical Lecturer: University of BrightonAlongside his work at Headley Court, Glen became a clinical lecturer for the undergraduate BSc (Hons) Podiatry course at the University of Brighton. Here, he taught and mentored students, sharing his knowledge of foundational and advanced podiatric techniques, including biomechanics and injury care.MSc Teaching and National LecturesAs part of his academic journey, Glen also lectured at the postgraduate level, teaching MSc modules such as “Sports Injury” and “Offloading the At-Risk Foot.” He became a frequent speaker across the UK and internationally, delivering talks on podiatric biomechanics. Glen was a keynote speaker at both the National and European Podiatry Conferences, sharing his expertise with the wider medical community.UK Athletics Medical Team (2 Years)For two years, Glen worked with the UK Athletics medical team. In this role, he focused on injury rehabilitation and screening, ensuring elite athletes could recover quickly and return to optimal performance levels.London Marathon (Several Years)Glen has been closely involved with the London Marathon for several years. He served in a supervisory capacity, overseeing the podiatry medical team at the finish line. The prefix ‘Chiro’ is actually Greek for hands!
