Skip to content Search Toggle thefarmclinic Menu Search for: Submit Claire Isaac BSc (Hons), MPhil, MOST (Hons). Claire is a highly skilled osteopath who is passionate about promoting healing from within, treating the individual rather than just the condition. She has expertise in cranial osteopathy, structural osteopathy, and a biodynamic/functional approach, which she uses to work with her patients. Claire is experienced in treating adults, children, and babies, as well as providing pregnancy and postnatal care. She draws on her expertise from specialists in the treatment of headaches, women’s health, sports rehabilitation, and children’s clinic. In addition to treating humans, Claire is also qualified to treat horses, having completed stage 1 in Equine Osteopathy with Animal Osteopathy International. She is also a lecturing assistant at the European School of Osteopathy. Treatment choices include a blend of structural, cranial or functional techniques using a whole-body approach to restore health and well-being. Claire also draws on 13 years teaching experience of yoga, pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation to encourage patient self-care. She is an experienced long-distance runner with a keen interest in training and rehabilitation having run eight marathons to date. Claire continues her biodynamic training, functional work with the Sutherland Cranial College (please click on the link to find out more about cranial osteopathy!) and biodynamics.uk.com as well as furthering her training in animal osteopathy. Claire brings together a career as a former discovery scientist at Pfizer and veterinary pharmacologist at the Royal Veterinary College with a passion for sharing yoga and a lifetimes love of nature to find her true calling in helping others to restore balance and harmony between the body, mind and spirit through the healing art and science of osteopathy. Qualifications: MOst (Hons) Osteopathy registered with General Osteopathic Council (GOsC) and a member of the Institute of Osteopathy, BSc (Hons) Animal Science, MPhil (Veterinary Pharmacology), Certified British Wheel of Yoga (BWY) Level 4 Yoga Teacher and a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Therapy. why choose osteopathy? I love William Sutherland ‘Contributions of thoughts’ (1998), in his opening page he denotes: “Professional experience daily, demonstrates the truth that the science of osteopathy is key to the great physiological chemical laboratory, the human body, unlocking the living, potent forces that heal’, he suggests combining professionalism in the field of scientific research with the spiritual nature of the individual. Ultimately connecting with a deep sense of the patient’s rhythmic interchange of stillness. In order to tune into the stillness one must be aware of it within themselves. This is what all osteopaths innately tune into. For me, having the awareness of this stillness in myself will help me to sense or restore this within the patient. A concluding thought: John Donohoe said ‘the highly strung character of the western life was explained by the absence of silence/stillness. ‘When you acknowledge the integrity of your solitude and settle into the mystery your relationship with others takes on a new, warmth, adventure and wonder’ (1999, Anam Cara. London: Bantam Books).
