The Sussex Osteopaths has been helping people feel and move better since 2014. We provide high-quality, exceptional care for our patients from our three clinic locations, in Uckfield and Buxted. Our Uckfield clinics are located on Uckfield High Street and within Freedom Leisure Centre. They are easily accessible from Uckfield and surrounding areas, Crowborough, Maresfield, Newick, Buxted and Nutley, although we have patients who travel to us from all over the South East. Our Buxted Clinic is run from our Garden office. Don’t let the fact that we built it ourselves put you off! It’s beautiful! Nestled in the heart of Buxted’s countryside, it’s the perfect peaceful spot to enjoy your osteopathic appointment! Both our Buxted and Leisure centre clinics have direct onsite parking. The high street clinic has plenty of nearby free parking. Luxford car park is the most convenient. Our Leisure centre clinic has disabled access and facilities available. Our Experience Meet the team Callum and Sophie are a husband and wife team who combine their knowledge and skillset with their passion for helping people. They both graduated with Masters degrees from The British School of Osteopathy (now known as the University College of Osteopathy) in London. They established The Sussex Osteopaths in 2014 and have been helping the people of Uckfield feel and move better ever since. They are both passionate about providing patients with exceptional care from quality practitioners. When they’re not treating patients you’ll find them spending time with their daughter, hiking with their dog and enjoying a pub lunch. They both love the skiing and travelling, but their favourite place to be is outdoors in the great British countryside. In 2024, The Sussex Osteopaths expanded to include two more osteopaths, Clio & Silas, in order to keep up with demand. Each practitioner brings something unique to the clinic, but all uphold the same high standards, principles and clinic ethos. She is skilled at helping people move and feel better and treats a wide variety of patients from movement and sports enthusiasts and desk workers to tradespeople, gardeners and women around pregnancy and menopause. She is experienced in treating a variety of women’s health, pelvic heath and pre- and post-natal conditions. Post-graduate training includes cranial osteopathy, women’s health osteopathy with the Molinari Institute and Holistic Pelvic Care with Tami Lynn Kent. She is a Low Pressure Fitness level 3 instructor, which uses hypopressive breathing, posture and movement to improve pelvic floor dysfunction, diastasis recti and lung capacity. “Movement is medicine and I like to offer my patient’s exercise and movement advice to support their treatment. Silas has developed skills and knowledge to help people move better and work through painful injuries that may be limiting their lifestyle. Located on Uckfield high street and in Freedom Leisure Centre, easily accessible from Uckfield and surrounding areas; Buxted, Crowborough, Nutley, Heathfield, East Hoathly, Framfield, Newick, Blackboys, Isfield and Chailey. what we do We use a range of treatment approaches such as joint articulation and manipulation, deep tissue massage, stretching and shockwave and laser therapy to treat a large number of both everyday and more complex conditions. Our treatments are not routine. We work with individual patients and create a treatment plan specific to your needs. We are open 6 days a week offering late evening and weekend appointments. There is free onsite car parking at the leisure centre and we have full disabled access. Personal. Every patient is different and so too is their condition. That is why we don’t believe in generic treatment plans, but would rather tailor according to need. Autonomy. Patient care and autonomy are paramount to us. We will never sign you up to a course of multiple treatments or pressure you into multiple bookings. Honesty. If we don’t believe osteopathy is the best treatment option for you, we will refer you to another healthcare practitioner such as a consultant or GP.
