After being taken over by Xandra 10 years ago, she has worked alongside her sister Jess who runs her own functional medicine practice, The Natural Doctor. As our clinic grows, we have spent many years looking to move to the centre of Poynton where we could expand. In 2021, we found our new clinic home. Both The Back Clinic and Dr Jess wanted to create a space that was designed for us with better access, better visibility and a modern feel. Our home on London Road South is perfect. We have mixed the high ceilings and features of a 1886 building with Jess’s flare for modern interiors to create a beautiful new clinic. With a lot more parking and access to the high street we plan to be here for many years to come. The Back Clinic Team Dr Xandra Middleton BSc (Hons)Doctor of ChiropracticOwner of The Back ClinicXandra formerly worked for 4 years as Clinic Director of a London Chiropractic clinic and was part of a programme to help other Chiropractors and Chiropractic students. Xandra moved back to Poynton in 2012 and started to expand the family business. She has created a friendly, experienced team and is now the sole owner of the clinic. Xandra has successfully treated over 3,000 new patients and is highly experienced in treating a wide range of conditions.With a passion for natural health and lifestyle, Xandra can offer support with dietary, supplement and exercise plans to get you feeling amazing.Fun Facts:Xandra is a keen tennis player with a secret talent for woodwork, often to be found constructing a garden fence or two. Her dream is to have a garage woodwork space and a whole wall of DIY tools in her next home! Dr Nina Moore (MChiro)Doctor of ChiropracticOriginally from Grimsby, Nina studied at the Welsh Institute of Chiropractic in South Wales before heading back North where she worked in Warrington before joining us in Poynton.As a sufferer of migraines herself, Nina has benefited from chiropractic treatment enormously and is extremely grateful she is able to now help others feel more like themselves through the use of chiropractic.Fun Facts:Nina proudly plays rugby union at Sale Sharks and enjoys time spent outdoors having grown up riding horses. Dr Freddie Stevens (MChiro)Doctor of ChiropracticFreddie is originally from Bolton and returned to the north once he qualified. Driven by his own experiences with headaches, Freddie is passionate about helping others find relief. Inspired by his sister’s pregnancy, he is excited to specialize in treating pregnant women and pediatric patients. Fun Facts:Freddie is a semi-professional footballer fuelling an interest in sports injuries. Dr Ani (MChiro)Doctor of ChiropracticOriginally from Stockport, Adam’s experience playing basketball and witnessing injuries among himself and his teammates sparked his passion for helping people in pain.Adam’s journey began by shadowing Xandra at The Back Clinic during his college years, and he is now proud to be part of the chiropractic team. He is committed to improving your lifestyle and well-being, with a goal of helping you live free from pain and feeling great.Fun Facts:Adam is a keen runner participating in events across Cheshire. His aim is a 5 mile event in less than 35 mins! Dr Tmi (MChiro)Doctor of ChiropracticFreddie is originally from Bolton and returned to the north once he qualified. Driven by his own experiences with headaches, Freddie is passionate about helping others find relief. Inspired by his sister’s pregnancy, he is excited to specialize in treating pregnant women and pediatric patients. Fun Facts:Freddie is a semi-professional footballer fuelling an interest in sports injuries. All our Chiropractors are registered with the General Chiropractic Council and have all completed a full time 4 year university degree to allow them to be called Doctors of Chiropractic. They are also all members of the United Chiropractic Association. She is often using her mucking out time to brainstorm ideas that help the clinic run smoothly! LesleyWith a background working front desk in a GP office Lesley is used to being in a healthcare role. After becoming a patient and seeing first hand the difference Chiropractic can make, Lesley moved from the stress of the NHS to join us. With her desire to help people and to know more about natural health she is a lovely member of our team.Fun Facts:Lesley is a Grandma to 6 and loves to visit Spain with a vision of living there! HerbHerb has been working with Dr Jess as part of The Natural Doctor team for 10 years. After organising all the patient herbal prescriptions for years, he has now also joined The Back Clinic as part of our reception team.Herb is an approachable and friendly part of our team, who is always happy to help.Fun Facts:A keen tennis player Herb can be found on the court or helping to look after his young grandchildren. SimoneWith experience managing her own branch of Boots, Simone brings an organised and unflappable attitude to the clinic. As an outgoing, happy and supportive member of the team, she is both great for morale and fantastic to work with.Simone is vital for team support and with a background in management, is fabulous at communication. Fun Facts:Simone is a glamorous grandmother of 2 and is the secret weapon in any pub quiz – we always make sure she’s on our team! JanJan has previous experience working in customer service and a personal love of Chiropractic treatment. With a welcoming, caring and extremely gentle manner, she is a great addition to our clinic.Jan is also the PA to Dr Jess so brings valuable knowledge of her clinic to reception. Fun Facts:Jan has 6 grandchildren under 7 years old, which has meant her love of stilettos had to be swapped for trainers to run after them! LorraineAfter working as an estate agent and valuer for over 20 years, Lorraine has swapped homes for health! After her own positive experience of chiropractic at our clinic, she’s passionate about supporting other patients to feel better. She loves Pilates, walking with friends and travelling. Her happy place is Ibiza – her son keeps promising to buy her a place out there but she’s still waiting!Fun Facts:She is Mum of two and the love of her life is her little grandson, Arthur. After being taken over by Xandra 10 years ago, she has worked alongside her sister Jess who runs her own functional medicine practice, The Natural Doctor. As our clinic grows, we have spent many years looking to move to the centre of Poynton where we could expand. In 2021, we found our new clinic home. Both The Back Clinic and Dr Jess wanted to create a space that was designed for us with better access, better visibility and a modern feel. Our home on London Road South is perfect. We have mixed the high ceilings and features of a 1886 building with Jess’s flare for modern interiors to create a beautiful new clinic. With a lot more parking and access to the high street we plan to be here for many years to come. The Back Clinic Team Dr Xandra Middleton BSc (Hons)Doctor of ChiropracticOwner of The Back ClinicXandra formerly worked for 4 years as Clinic Director of a London Chiropractic clinic and was part of a programme to help other Chiropractors and Chiropractic students. Xandra moved back to Poynton in 2012 and started to expand the family business. She has created a friendly, experienced team and is now the sole owner of the clinic. Xandra has successfully treated over 3,000 new patients and is highly experienced in treating a wide range of conditions.With a passion for natural health and lifestyle, Xandra can offer support with dietary, supplement and exercise plans to get you feeling amazing.Fun Facts:Xandra is a keen tennis player with a secret talent for woodwork, often to be found constructing a garden fence or two. HerbHerb has been working with Dr Jess as part of The Natural Doctor team for 10 years. LorraineAfter working as an estate agent and valuer for over 20 years, Lorraine has swapped homes for health! After her own positive experience of chiropractic at our clinic, she’s passionate about supporting other patients to feel better. She loves Pilates, walking with friends and travelling. After full assessment by Dr Timi she started a course of treatment . The results have been amazing, she visits only monthly now for a maintenance programme. I had also been diagnosed with disc damage in my neck and was advised daily paracetamol to help the discomfort. Having witnessed my wife's improvement I decided to ask Dr Timi if he could help me , the results have been amazing and very rarely take any pain killers. I too just visit monthly for a maintenance programme.
