Our Story Spencer fellows & Co Established 1944 Based in Chelmsford, Essex, and originally established in 1944, Spencer Fellows & Co was originally established to support the agricultural industry when the responsibility of accounting and taxation of farmers and land owners moved from land agents to accountants. The Richards Mid 1990's Richard Harman and Richard Worboys joined the team and from the mid 90’s took on the practice as principals, establishing a brilliant reputation for specialist business consultancy and tax advisory services, building the business into what it is today. Acquisiton: Spencer Fellows & Co Chartered Accountants Partner with buckley watson August, 2023 The firm was acquired by Buckley Watson in August of 2023, establishing their presence and office location in Chelmsford. Richard Harman and Richard Worboys still work alongside the firm today as consultants. Where we are now... November, 2025 In February 2024, Craig Ewins-Jones joined the firm to work closely with Richard Harman, Richard Worboys and the rest of the team to continue providing specialist advice to the valued client base. The practice continues to work with clients with an agricultural background and also has a wealth of experience dealing with clients from many other industries.
