Established in 2012, Physioflexx is a well-recognised brand with an extensive patient base which continues to expand. Physioflexx is able to offer Physiotherapy appointments in Prestwick & Stewarton and operates on a 6 day per week service. Patient load is predominantly Musculoskeletal; Spinal and Peripheral Joint problems and Orthopaedics. As the lead Physiotherapist for the current team of six Physiotherapists you will be expected to split your working week between our two sites. Duties will include having your own clinical caseload and fulfilling your role as manager. You will have autonomy in developing and growing the team as well as being supported in your own development pathway. To succeed in the role: Must have fulfilled a previous leadership role and have a minimum of 5 years post graduate experience within MSK background Be passionate about clinical excellence Be innovative and develop the Physiotherapy and wellness services. Be a strong team player leading by example and have the ability to motivate and energise the team Have a shared responsibility for patient cases i.e support your team in delivering 100% patient-centred care at all times Must have a flexible working approach Be forward thinking, patient-centred in approach and optimise service delivery Have financial awareness and be pro-active in driving the business forward Be able to update Director on practitioner utilisation and retention statistics Clinical requirements: Excellent manual therapy skills Set and maintain a high standard of clinical practice and encourage other physiotherapists to do likewise To keep abreast of and develop new clinical practices as appropriate Be trained or be willing to train in Physio-led Pilates and Acupuncture Participation in clinical audits and evaluations of the services. The part-time position would predominantly involve evening and weekend working. Kate Alexander - Company Director/Chartered Physiotherapist, HCPC Registered Kate gained her first degree at The Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen achieving a 2:1 in Sport & Exercise Science. She then studied Physiotherapy at the Glasgow Caledonian University graduating in 2010. Kate has specialised in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Interests include sports injuries, womans health, low back pain, hip pain, neck and shoulder pain. At the beginning of her career she worked within sport assisting at Hamilton Academicals Football Club, Cartha Queens Rugby Club and Ayrshire Swim Team. More recently her time has been invested into developing and growing the services available at Physioflexx. Kate utilises advanced manual therapy skills alongside self-management tools and exercise prescription to ensure the patient makes an optimal recovery. Kate appreciates the effects that trauma can have on an individual mentally and physically which allows her to empathise with patients and ensures that she works on the basis of shared goals. She consistently strives to provide a high quality service with accurate diagnosis and treatment. Kate enjoys leading 5 Physio-led Pilates classes per week within the clinic and believes the importance of this exercise mode to aid recovery. To keep up-to-date with clinical evidence and physiotherapy skills, Kate has attended numerous professional development courses including kinesiology taping, electrotherapy for healing, advanced soft tissue massage, acupuncture, dry needling, spinal manipulations and the APPI training for Pilates. Kate has a strong interest in keeping fit and enjoys going to the gym alongside setting challenges such as running half marathons. Having earned her Master’s degree in MSK Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University, Samar combines a patient-centred approach with extensive manual therapy expertise gained from qualifications in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (Curtin University/Australia) and Osteopathic techniques. She is highly skilled in assessing complex, persistent musculoskeletal pain. Utilising her Society of Musculoskeletal Medicine (SOMM) injection qualification, Samar provides targeted Corticosteroid and Hyaluronic Acid injections to reduce pain, break chronic cycles, and optimize your recovery, offering a powerful solution when conservative measures alone are no longer enough. Following his graduation, he worked in a variety of clinical settings, where he gained extensive experience in orthopedic, neurological, pediatric, musculoskeletal, and geriatric rehabilitation. His hands-on approach, combined with a deep understanding of these areas, has allowed him to develop comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to meet individual patient needs. Shahrukh has a particular interest in the treatment and management of lower back pain, neck pain, shoulder pain, and post-operative rehabilitation. He is committed to providing evidence-based care by utilizing advanced manual therapy techniques, personalized exercise prescriptions, and self-management strategies. His goal is to facilitate optimal recovery, enhance physical function, and promote long-term well-being for his patients. During her MSc she has gained experience working within a variety of areas such as respiratory, orthopaedics, community, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation. Nicole has always had an interest in sport, health and fitness, and rehabilitation. She gained a tennis scholarship which allowed her to train and compete in tennis alongside gaining her bachelors degree in the United States, and continued as a LTA Level 2 tennis coach whilst achieving her MSc. Nicole also does pitch side first aid for Hamilton Academical Football Club to allow her to gain experiences and skills in a variety of settings. Nicole intends to use her experiences, knowledge, and interests to help others better their physical function and recover from injury in a positive manner at Physioflexx. Nicole is motivated to provide patient-centred care using evidence-based practice, as well as expanding her knowledge and skills through continued professional development. Nicole also teaches Physio-led Reformer Pilates classes at our sister company, Flexx Movement Therapy. Luke also has his level 3 extended diploma in sports massage and has completed his pitch side first aid course. Luke has a keen interest in sports related injuries having worked as a first aider/physiotherapist for Cumnock rugby club, assisting with rehabilitating the players, pre match taping and match coverage. Luke is a keen badminton player and has recently caught the running bug! Ryan has a keen interest in strength and conditioning, having been involved with CrossFit for the last 8 years and gained his Level 1 Coaching certificate in 2016. Ryan is now the Director and Lead Physiotherapist at our sister company, Physioflexx Falkirk which was opened in February 2024. Laura has previously studied HNC Counselling at Ayrshire College and worked as a Healthcare Assistant in a variety of settings before finding her passion here in Physioflexx. Laura actively liaises with leading Insurance Providers that we collaborate with and supports the administration team to ensure smooth delivery of all active roles. Laura is excited to be involved with the Flexx retreats as she has a passion for wellness and health. She will be taking a lead role in the organisation and delivery of our retreats. Laura will always welcome you into clinic with a warm smile on her face. Iain Wilson- Administrator Iain joined our team as an Administrator in July 2023. Iain is keen to use his existing skills and is motivated to learn new skills within this position. Iain has a background in Healthcare as a nursing assistant in a variety of settings and has previously studded HNC Digital Media and Programming.
