In the mid-sixties, Raymond Broome (Chiropractor) began the practice on Holyoake Road then in 1985 Jonathan Howat (CFD founder) took it over when Broome retired. In 2021, Jonathan Howat retired from the clinic after an extraordinary 50-year career as a Chiropractor, Craniopath, and Brain Trauma Specialist. He was deeply committed to advancing the field of CFD, dedicating his later years to research, teaching, and mentoring practitioners. Dr. Howat's passion, knowledge, and dedication continue to inspire us all, and his legacy lives on in the work we do every day. In 2023, the clinic was established as a multi-disciplined centre of health. Katie Howat alongside her team of practitioners continue the legacy of her father's work in CFD as well as introducing the innovative approach of Bioresonance according to Paul Schmidt.
