What is Chiropractic?As a chiropractor I will diagnose, treat and aid the prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system (bones, joints and muscles). I will look into the effects these disorders have on your nervous system, health and general well being. I use a range of techniques to help REDUCE pain, IMPROVE function and INCREASE mobility. The most common treatments being manual adjustments and soft tissue manipulation.What to expect on your first Chiropractic visit?Before you visit the Clinic, we will ask you to complete an online registration form, telling us about your current condition and general medical health. Some of the questions may not seem important, but they will help us to establish an overall picture of your health and determine whether Chiropractic care is appropriate for you. On your first visit to the clinic, a full case history will be taken. Following on from this we will perform a physical examination using a range of orthopaedic, neurological, range of movement and posture assessments to help with the diagnosis of your condition. After your assessment I will talk you through the relevant findings and discuss the best treatment for you. I also think it's important you can help yourself, so I will offer advice on the most effective way you can deal with any pain straight away. If all is well, and no further investigation is required, we can start your treatment on the first visit.
